Nota Bene is a Latin term that means “note well” or “take note.” It is used by editors and proofreaders to mark passages that deserve special attention. This series features the humble sticky note, which is universally used as a marker, tag, or label. Sticky notes have previously been overlooked as a subject for fine art photography. They are among the many common objects we tend to take for granted, and this series portrays their unsuspected beauty and grace.
Represented in group exhibitions at Darkroom Gallery (winner, People’s Choice Award); Photoplace Gallery (winner, Juror’s Award); 1650 Gallery; Center for Fine Art Photography; Redline Contemporary Art Center; Southeast Center for Photography; Houston Center for Photography; and Texas Photographic Society. Featured in Shadow & Light Magazine and The Denver Post.
