Mangetout

This series features strings removed from snowpeas. In French, the word for snowpea is mangetout (pronounced monj-too; “eat all”), reflecting the fact that the pod may be eaten along with the peas. The strings are ordinarily discarded. A few banana strings have elbowed their way into this series, insisting that they, too, are included under the term “all.” Ultimately, however, the title Mangetout refers to the fact that the camera will “eat all” of whatever is served up to it.
